Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools
• Read and interpret plans, drawings and sketches
• Determine material requirements, perform calculations, organize construction sites and establish procedures
• Install floor beams, lay flooring support and mount preassembled roof framing components
• Install doors, windows, stairs, moldings and hardware
• Measure, cut and assemble wooden components
• Repair and renovate existing buildings
• Build divisions, install interior and exterior finishing materials
• Participate and collaborate in the occupational health and safety program

Requirements

• Carpentry Diploma of Vocational Studies 
• Red Seal Certification (not required, but would be an asset)
• Excellent physical condition
• 3 to 5 years of experience in the construction industry
• Knowledge of the National Building Code and NB standards
• Valid driver’s license
• No criminal record
• Ability to communicate in English or French
